THE NIGHT MY NANCY WAS SAVED
In the next couple of articles, I’m going to share why I believe it was The Lord Who brought Nancy into my life for the Salvation of my soul. But first, before Nancy could be used to save me, she herself needed to be saved, and the following is how our Lord used a precious friend of Nancy’s to bring her to her own Salvation:
For those who have read the articles I’ve written since My Nancy went on ahead of me to our Eternal Home on 01.12.2022; you know of her special relationship with her Lord, that her earliest memories began when she was a very small little girl playing in her sandbox; when the first thing she saw was the wounds in His feet as he walked up to the sandbox. Then when she looked up, she saw Jesus standing there. Though I don’t remember all what they talked about that day, I do remember her asking Him, if those holes in His feet and His hands (which she also saw), did they hurt? Of which, Jesus answered her, “not anymore”.
From that moment on, Nancy would have such visitations from not only Jesus, but from Angels as well. During these times, she would be told of things concerning not only her own life, but of others (family, friends, and even strangers) as well, which she would share accordingly with those with whom the visitations were concerning.
In spite of this special relationship, as Nancy was growing up, there were terrible events that occurred in her young life which began to turn her away from God instead of closer. Trying to escape these hurts, she began to make bad choices, which made her life worse and not better, as she became an adult.
Instead of her personally receiving His free gift of Salvation as a young child; she grew up, going away from Him, becoming caught up in this corrupt world, her life became a life of turmoil; full of injustices, hardships, pain, and sufferings, etc.
Amid of all this turmoil, I believe The Lord brought into Nancy’s life a friend named Geraldine, who had started going to Church, and was trying to get Nancy to come and go with her. And though Nancy would reject her invitations, Geraldine kept trying.
The Church where Geraldine attended was The Anointed Church of The Living God, located in Norwood, Ohio (which is part of the Greater Cincinnati area). The Pastor Royce Moore, who was addressed simply as “Brother Moore”, would hold a 40 Night Revival Service the beginning of each year, but would actually start the week of Christmas.
It was during one of these services, did Nancy finally agree to attend at least once. What Geraldine did not know was, Nancy had an ulterior motive for agreeing to attend this particular service, for it was the very same night that she had predetermined she was going to commit suicide. With a sense of hopelessness, she had no desire to go into another new year, because she could see no way of it ever changing.
Nancy’s agreement to go to Church with Geraldine was because Nancy knew that her friend had a habit of calling her after making it home from attending Church; for Geraldine would often call Nancy with the details about the good services she missed. Sharing how God had moved within the services; telling her of anyone being saved, healed, or delivered; encouraging Nancy to come to Church, hoping she would come and surrender her life to The Lord; giving her a hope of a better life, both here on the earth and in Heaven to come.
By agreeing to go to Church for this one night only, Nancy thought she was going to fool Geraldine; for by going this one time, there would be no need for Geraldine calling her afterwards. So then, she would be able to come home and take her own life, without any hindrance. But you know, that was the very night The Good Lord met my baby in her moment of deepest despair; sitting right there in her pew, My Nancy came under the conviction and drawing power of The Sweet Holy Ghost; going to the altar, surrendering her life to her Lord. Being forever reunited with the same Jesus that she originally met when she was a very small little girl; playing in her sandbox, when He came and showed her His nail-scarred wounds in His hands and feet.
I am forever grateful to our Good Lord, for not only saving Nancy’s eternal soul the very night she had planned to end it all. But also, by preserving her natural life, it resulted into her being brought into mine, and eventually giving us “a life shared together” for the years that He gave us.
Folks don’t ever give up trying to witness to the people, because you never know when it might be the last opportunity! I belief that Geraldine was a God-Sent to Nancy; that her refusal not to give up on witnessing to her of The Goodness of our Lord, was a Providential Intervention, that turned what was supposed to be a night of death, into the beginning of Nancy’s eternal life.
Please read the upcoming articles, as I will be sharing how and when Nancy and I met, and why I believe (know) that it was not by chance or circumstance, but like her meeting Geraldine was providential, so too was our meeting each other.
THIS HAS BEEN ONE MAN’S OPINION OF MINE AND THE LORD’S NANCY.
