My Introduction

MY INTRODUCTION

Let this be not only an introduction of myself to all, but at the same time let it be an explanation of why I am typing on my computer keyboard these words. I am a resident of the mountains of Southeastern Kentucky. I am just an ordinary man, with an ordinary life. I plan to live here, and die here in the mountains; if The Good Lord doesn’t rapture me away to my Eternal Home to be with Him beforehand.

Before I wrote my first article (which was in January, 2008); I pondered in my mind, if there was a need for yet one more person to have a column. It seems every one has an opinion that they believe needs to be shared with everyone else, whether it is solicited or not.

With that said, I do have opinions that I believe needs to be shared; opinions concerning matters that are of utmost importance: Matters of life and death here on this earth, and even greater matters that have eternal consequences.

I see a world that is growing further and further away from God, it’s Creator. Away from the Godly morals and values that every man, woman, boy and girl, not only believed in, but actually lived by.

A world that confesses Jesus as their Savior, but who has never made Him their Lord.

A world that is doomed, unless they will turn their hearts (and souls) back to God. To repent of their sins, and to receive The Indwelling Holy Spirit; making them Born-Again, Spirit Filled, Children of God (Acts 2: 38).

As one who confesses to be a Christian, one who is filled with The Spirit; it is my hope (and prayer) that I may say (write) something that will bring some of these “doomed souls” to repentance, before it is too late.

I write this column because I can no longer be one of those Christians with silent voices, but I must be one liken unto John the Baptist of The Bible, who was said to be “A Voice Crying in the Wilderness”; thus the reason for this column:

I am just trying to be A VOICE in the mountains….
